ZI Engineering, PC seeks a Senior Façade Engineer in Lynbrook, NY. Job duties include: Oversee facade projects, ensuring compliance with NYC’s Local Law 11 Façade Inspection & Safety Program (FISP) guidelines and deadlines. Manage the development of project specifications for façade rehabilitation and new construction projects, ensuring compliance with local codes and industry standards. Coordinate the filing of TR6 reports and other required documentation in the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) portal, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Perform structural calculations and load analyses for façade systems to ensure safety and durability. Stay up-to-date on NYC building codes, facade compliance requirements, and industry standards, and provide insights to improve organizational processes.

Requirements

• Candidates must have Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field and at least 2 years of professional experience working in civil engineering.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience drafting architectural and civil engineering plans.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience inspecting and evaluating masonry, curtain walls, and other facade systems.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience conducting layout surveys based on design and construction drawings.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience conducting topographic and cross-section surveys.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, PowerPoint, Primavera P6, and Word.
