Construction Inspector – Buildings and Facilities
Job Overview
We are looking for a construction inspector with experience in building construction projects. Experience in all aspects of building construction including layouts, excavations, sheeting and shoring, foundations, concrete raft and pile footings, general piling operations, placement of concrete in various structural elements including foundation, columns, beams and slab. Experience in steel construction and steel erection procedure, bolting and welding. Ability to interpret contract drawing and specifications. Ensure compliance with contract documents, ensure compliance to all applicable construction specifications including NYCDDC, NYCDEP, and NYCDOT standard specifications. Experience working with public construction projects and specifications. The inspector Should possess working knowledge of these standards. Ability to prepare daily reports of inspected work. The candidate should have among others, OSHA 30, ACI-1, ACI-2 concrete certifications. Other ACI certifications preferred. Water main training certification preferred.
